Hanley and Glee Heikes Legacy Society

Hanley H. Heikes, long-time business and civic leader in the High Desert, passed away in 1993. Because of his great service and philanthropy in the area, he created a legacy that still exists today. In fact, his widow Glee remains a long-time member of St. Mary Medical Center Foundation. She has held many positions, including Board Chair, and has assisted in numerous ways to bring about many important medical programs and equipment to St. Joseph Health, St. Mary.

As a way to recognize, honor and thank those individuals who have named St. Joseph Health, St. Mary as a beneficiary in their estate plans, including wills, trusts, life insurance policies, real estate, gift annuities or retirement accounts, the Hanley H. Heikes Legacy was established.

An annual dinner is held each fall when members gather to celebrate the legacy that was created and continues to touch so many lives, ensuring a healthy community today and for future generations.
